Varicose veins treatment in India with advanced laser and glue closure

Performed by an interventional radiologist through a needle-sized puncture under imaging guidance. Send your scans for a written plan and estimate before you travel.

About this treatment

Varicose veins can cause aching, heaviness, swelling, skin darkening and sometimes ulcers. Old-style treatment strips or ties the vein under anaesthesia and leaves scars.

Modern treatment closes the faulty vein from the inside. Endovenous laser uses heat, and glue closure seals the vein with a medical adhesive, both guided by ultrasound through a tiny puncture, usually under local anaesthetic. Most people walk out the same day.

Who it may suit

  • Aching, heavy or swollen legs from varicose veins
  • Skin changes or a healed or active leg ulcer from venous disease
  • Visible bulging veins you want treated
  • A leg Doppler showing a faulty main vein

What to send us

Share these on WhatsApp or email and the doctor will tell you whether this treatment is likely to help before you decide to travel.

  • Leg venous Doppler report (reflux study)
  • Photographs of the legs, and of any ulcer
  • A short note of symptoms and earlier treatment
  • Any history of blood clots

Your time in India

Laser or glue closure is walk-in, walk-out, and you can walk the same day. A compression stocking is worn for about a week after laser. A short stay is usually enough, and the doctor confirms the days for your case.

After you go home

The bulging veins fade over weeks. A check ultrasound at home after a few weeks confirms the closure, and we share your procedure report so your local doctor can follow it.

What it costs

A starting amount for a shared room, in the currency you choose. It is the same figure Indian patients see, and treatment is billed in Indian rupees. Your written estimate confirms what applies to you.
