Why one price does not fit everyone

Two people with varicose veins can need very different treatment. One may have a single leaking vein in one leg that is closed in a short day-care procedure. Another may have both legs involved, several branches, and skin changes. The cost follows the work involved, not the diagnosis name.

A duplex ultrasound of the leg veins is the starting point. It shows which veins are leaking, how large they are, and which method is suitable. Any price quoted before a scan is a rough guess.

Clinic Seven estimates, by method and leg

These are the estimates at Clinic Seven for a shared room. Other rooms cost more, as the second table shows. They are a guide, not a bill, and the final figure follows your duplex scan.

Varicose veins treatment estimate by method, shared room
MethodEstimated range
Laser, one leg₹1,20,000 to ₹1,38,000
Laser, both legs₹1,60,000 to ₹1,84,000
Glue, one leg₹2,00,000 to ₹2,30,000
Glue, both legs₹2,75,000 to ₹3,16,000

How the room changes the estimate

The room is the only thing that changes the figure. Care, coordination, follow-up reviews and insurance paperwork are the same for everyone.

Laser, one leg, estimate by room type
RoomEstimated rangeWhat it means
Shared room₹1,20,000 to ₹1,38,000Two or three beds
Single private room₹1,38,000 to ₹1,59,000Your own room
Deluxe single room₹1,56,000 to ₹1,79,000More space, better comfort
Suite₹1,80,000 to ₹2,07,000Room for a family member to stay

What decides the cost

These are the main factors, roughly in order of how much they move the final figure.

  • The method. Endovenous laser (EVLA) or radiofrequency, medical glue (VenaSeal), foam sclerotherapy and open surgery differ in equipment and supplies [1, 2].
  • One leg or both, and how many veins. Treating the main trunk vein is one step. Treating branches and surface veins adds to it.
  • The room. A shared room, single room, deluxe room or suite are priced differently, and the room choice does not change the medical treatment.
  • Tests and follow-up. A duplex scan before treatment and a review scan afterwards are part of good care.
  • Insurance. If the treatment is medically needed, a cashless claim may cover part or all of it, depending on your policy terms.

How the main methods compare

National guidance in the UK recommends offering heat-based closure of the vein (laser or radiofrequency) first for varicose veins caused by a leaking trunk vein, then foam sclerotherapy, and surgery only when those are not suitable [1]. Glue closure is a newer, non-heat option used in selected patients.

Does insurance cover varicose veins treatment?

Insurers generally look at why the treatment is being done. Treatment for swelling, pain, heaviness, skin darkening, eczema, bleeding or ulcers is medical. Treatment purely for appearance is usually treated as cosmetic and is commonly excluded. Waiting periods, room-rent limits and the exact policy wording all matter.

Clinic Seven handles insurance paperwork and checks eligibility for cashless treatment before the procedure. Final eligibility is confirmed only after a policy check, so please carry your policy details and TPA card to the first visit.

Questions to ask before you compare quotes

Use the same questions with every clinic so the numbers mean the same thing:

  • Is a duplex scan included, and who performs it?
  • Which method is planned for me, and why that one?
  • Does the figure cover one leg or both, and which veins?
  • What does the room price include, and what are the extras?
  • What follow-up visits and scans are included?
  • What happens if a vein reopens or a second session is needed?

Frequently asked questions

How much does varicose veins treatment cost in Hyderabad?
It varies with the method, the legs treated, the room and your insurance. At Clinic Seven, in a shared room, laser for one leg is estimated at ₹1,20,000 to ₹1,38,000 and glue for one leg at ₹2,00,000 to ₹2,30,000. A final figure is given after a duplex scan, and the care team handles insurance paperwork.
Is laser or glue treatment more expensive?
They are priced differently because the equipment and supplies differ. The better question is which one suits your veins. Your interventional radiologist will explain the choice after your scan [1, 2].
Is varicose veins treatment covered by insurance?
Often yes when the treatment is medically needed, for example for pain, swelling, skin changes or ulcers. Cosmetic-only treatment is usually excluded. Cover depends on your policy and is confirmed after a policy check.
Can varicose veins go away without treatment?
Existing varicose veins do not go away on their own. Exercise, leg elevation and compression stockings can ease symptoms, but they do not close a leaking vein [1, 2].
Where can I get varicose veins treatment near Kukatpally?
Clinic Seven is on Green Hills Road, Anjaneya Nagar, Moosapet, Kukatpally, Hyderabad, open every day from 9am to 9pm. Dr. Nagateja Bonala performs laser and glue closure as day-care procedures.
